It’s not always easy to get to the doctor, especially when life’s already busy. With Aviva Digital GP, you can chat to a doctor online instead of waiting for an in-person appointment. It’s part of Aviva Care and gives you and your family access to medical advice for everyday health worries, whether you’re at home or on holiday.
What Is Aviva Digital GP?
Digital GP is a service from Aviva, available to protection customers through Aviva Care. It’s a private online doctor service that gives you and your immediate family access to medical advice and guidance, without having to wait for a face-to-face appointment.
It’s designed for everyday health concerns, not medical emergencies, making it a quick and convenient way to get trusted advice when you need it.
How This Free Benefit Works with Aviva
The Aviva Digital GP service isn’t something you have to pay extra for; it’s a free benefit that comes with specific Aviva protection policies.
Here’s what that means:
Included with Your Policy: If your Aviva plan includes the Digital GP service, you automatically get access. There’s no extra cost, it’s part of your cover.
Powered by Aviva Care: In Ireland, the Digital GP service is part of Aviva Care, which also offers wellbeing supports such as second medical opinions and mental health consultations.
Use It Anytime You Need: You can book as many appointments as you need, seven days a week, so you don’t have to wait days to speak to a doctor.
Optional, but Handy: You don’t have to use it, but it’s there when you need quick advice or reassurance.
Who Can Benefit from It?
This benefit isn’t just for you; it also extends to your family. The Aviva Digital GP service can be used by:
- You, the eligible customer or employee
- Your spouse or partner
- Your children up to age 18, or up to 23 if they’re in full-time education
It’s one of the few policy benefits that covers not just you but also your loved ones, giving your whole family access to quick, convenient medical advice when needed.
